Restaurant & Bar
London 2018
200 sqm

The Coal Office was Tom Dixon’s new restaurant and bar stretching across three floors which was to become part of the brand’s new London head quarters in Kings Cross
The aesthetic of the new restaurant was developed and took cues from the history of the coal yard. Which inspired the use of functional and hard wearing materials

In collaboration with Italian stone supplier TESTI GROUP, we created and manufactured site-specific, custom architectural features and furniture using marble, granite, and quartz. Additional interior finishes included solid timber floors, unique steel design pieces, and charred timber wall cladding
We designed a striking 4-meter-long rock-edge cut granite kitchen counter, intended for special events and cooking classes
Alexander Ragnar collaborated with furniture & product design studio JLKDS together with Tom Dixon’s DRS and oversaw the interior design delivery of the project from concept through to completion
